| Fighters are defined on this ranking by their overall recent collection of accomplishments, not just on single fights.
To keep the rankings current, a rolling 3-year period has been established as a general guideline for fight relevance. The division that a fighter's weight falls into for each fight determines which list their fight affects. This allows a fighter to rank in more than one division, or remain ranked in a division they still have recent credentials in. A panel of geographically-diverse individuals proposes and debates all ranking changes. You can join the mmaranks message board to add your opinions and possibly become a panel member. |
